Electralloy recently joined other local employers to provide juniors at Rocky Groove High School with job interview training to help the students prepare for their future job searches.

Mock interviews were conducted and company representatives graded students on various facets ofInterview their interview performance, including preparation, knowledge and communication skills. The feedback was returned to the program administrator and then shared with students.

Rocky Grove Principal Kelly Hart said the event provides students “with valuable life skills and workplace preparation.” She expressed appreciation to employers for taking the time to provide the students with the experience.

In conducting the interviews, company representatives complimented the thoroughness and preparation of the students.

Duane Laskey, Electralloy Human Resource Manager said, “We are always eager to participate in events like this where we can have some role in helping students get ready for their future and set them on a path for success.”

After the mock interviews, a traditional job fair was scheduled for all students in grades 9-12. Participation in the program is a graduation requirement at Rocky Groove.

The event was conducted under the guidelines of the Career Education and Work Standards, as set by the state Board of Education’s regulations of required education for all Pennsylvania students.
