Electralloy Nitronic® Stainless Steels

Electralloy is the exclusive authorized melter for AK Steel Nitronic® stainless steel ingots, billets, coil rod, and weld wire   sold worldwide. We are non exclusive for bar 5" or greater and master melt pigs. Plate products available from G.O. Carlson.

Nitronic® stainless steels are austenitic, high-strength, water-resistant products that provide higher-performance alternatives to many conventional 300 and 400 Series stainless steels. Available in ingot, billet, bar, flat and master melt products, they typically exhibit approximately twice the strength of 300 Series stainless steels and excellent cryogenic properties, yet retain good weldability and fabricability, and remain non-magnetic even after extensive cold working.

Electralloy employees have been customized melters of speciality steel products since 1967. We AOD refine, argon shroud, and bottom pour all Nitronic® ingots for optimum quality and yield. Our agreement with AK Steel includes research and technology assistance to ensure that we meet exact chemistry controls through use of the standard Nitronic® melting and processing practices. Our tight chemistry controls ensure continuing product consistency.
