NITRONIC stainless steels are austenitic, high-strength,
wear-resistant products that provide higher-performance alternatives to many conventional
300 and 400 series stainless steels.
NITRONIC 50W (AWS A5.9-93 ER209) used in the welding of NITRONIC 50, in all forms, provides the highest
strength levels with good tensile strength, ductility and alloy elements that impart good
corrosion resistance. NITRONIC 50W is a customized chemistry specifically designed for
weld applications. NITRONIC 50W provides good filler for the NITRONIC Alloys 30, 32, 33,
40 and 50.
NITRONIC 60W (AWS A5.9-93 ER218) provides good high strength welding of NITRONIC 60. NITRONIC 60W provides
an excellent wear and galling resistant weld overlay on most other stainless steels and
certain carbon steels that develops sound deposits having properties about equal to that
of an all-weld deposit.
Electralloy is currently stocking 30-pound spools of .035 and
.045 Weld Wire in NITRONIC 50W and NITRONIC 60W for immediate delivery. Other diameters
and alloys can be supplied upon request.
